Mike Cavin, clarinet
Critically acclaimed classical artist

It was both an honor and pleasure to have Dr. Mike Cavin perform as a guest artist/clinician on the campus of Houston Baptist University.  He presented an afternoon Master Class and an evening Recital.  His musical gifts were very impressive and he was extremely cordial as he shared his expertise with the students in attendance.  The evening Recital was first rate and it was well attended.  The event attracted music retailers to our campus to participate as well.  I would highly recommend Dr. Cavin to anyone looking for a high profile woodwind event. "

Sincerely,  Dr. Richard Spitz, Director of Instrumental Activities, Houston Baptist °

Mike earned three Diplomas di Partecipazione and a Medallion in the 6° Concorso Internazionale di Esecuzione Musicale "Premio Citta' di Padova", in Padova Italy.
"Mike is such a great performer and wonderful person to work with---and my students had fun and learned a lot about performing through our rehearsals and performances together.  He did an outstanding performance with my Honors Band in San Antonio at T.M.E.A. for over 2500 music educators."
